2. Sterilization Control
3. ISO Standards
Compliance with strict hygiene rules and all standards in the field is, among other factors, one of the reasons that we got ISO 9001:2008 certificate granted by The German company Germanischer Lloyd Certification GmbH, Hamburg.
The fact that we are the first dental clinic in Romania certified ISO stands for the importance we give to the medical and patient comfort.
Our specialized doctors in various branches of dentistry, modern procedures, last generation softwear and equipment places DENT ESTET at the highest quality level.
What you have to know about dental safety and infection control?
DENT ESTET treats your dental health and safety with maximum seriousness. At DENT ESTET we respect the steps of infection control set by the American Dental Association (ADA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Centre for Disease Control (CDC). These steps, also known as “universal precautions” are followed by the entire team, for every patient and demand for the staff to wear protection equipment: gloves, masks, protection glasses.
The tools used in dental treatments are carefully sterilized prior to their use, through the chemical method (cold sterilization) or hot sterilization. Hot sterilization is done in an autoclave. The autoclave creates a high temperature vapor that penetrates all the spaces of the tools.
The steps of a correct and complete sterilization are the following ones:
- pre-sterilization in the office in special boxes
mechanical (manual) wash
- wrapping the tools in sterile disposable foil
- the actual sterilization in the autoclave
- day and hour sterilization inscription
- storage in special compartments
Pre-sterilization is represented by the immersion of the tools in disinfectant. Prior to this step, there is the manual wash of the instruments.
After drying and being carefully checked, the instruments are packed in airtight closed foil. This foil has sterilizing markers that change color and that allow the check of the sterilization.
The sterilization of the dental instruments is done either through physical or chemical methods. The physical methods include hot air sterilization (dry heat) and sterilization through vapors under pressure (wet heat), in which the water vapors temperature rises proportionally with the pressure.
The chemical methods are done with the help of disinfectant and antiseptic solutions.
The residues are thrown in special airtight containers. After filling them, these containers are taken by specialized staff in an incineration service.
To DENT ESTET, the guarantee of a quality treatment represents an acknowledgement of each patient importance. This is the main value based on which we run our activity rather than a current trend and a formality!
Therefore, in March 2008 we implemented the Quality Management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 standard and we acquired the quality certificate awarded by the well-known German company, The Germanischer Lloyd Certification GmbH in Hamburg.
The fact that we are the first ISO certified dental clinic in Romania certifies the importance we attach to the medical procedures and to patient’s comfort.
DENT ESTET dental clinic provide high quality services due to doctors specialized in various dentistry fields, modern procedures, high-tech equipment and customized programs.
